About the Centre

The "IRIB" links the research centres and researchers of the Facultés universitaires Saint-Louis whose works cover several important aspects of the Brussels region. Beside the Centre d'études régionales bruxelloises (CERB) active since 1980 in this field, seven other research centres of the Facultes (CEDRE, CEREC, CES, CIRCC, CreSPo, SIEJ and OSS ) contribute to this network. The "IRIB" offers a cross-sectional and interdisciplinary expertise on Brussels from the point of view of disciplines as diverse as economics, law, sociology, political sciences, history and statistics. It remains open to the participation of research centres and researchers external to the Facultes and collaborates with other Belgian or foreign universities and "hautes écoles".
